Job Description:

Job Responsibilities

-Write technical and marketing copy for proposals, and related materials (e.g.,presentations, resumes, project descriptions, etc.).

-Work independently as a writer and editor to create accurate, compelling, and client-focused proposals and submit them in a professional and timely manner.

-Work with limited administrative support to see the proposal process through from start to finish.

-Design and produce marketing and technical documents in hard copy and

electronic format (using MS Office and Adobe software).

-Work under the direction of multiple project managers and principals and seek their input as needed to complete technical writing projects.

-Update and maintain company style guide, document templates, and marketing database (resumes, sales sheets, presentations, visual media, website information, proposals and proposals, etc.)

-Work with technical staff to plan, write, design and produce all proposal and

presentation materials for potential clients which include, local, city,state, and federal government agencies.

-Ensure that proposals are responsive, thorough, accurate and have consistent tone and effective layout design.

-Review, editing, and formatting of proposals and technical reports.

-Organize proposal files to include favorites and easily accessible text that can be duplicated for similar proposals.

-Develop templates for submissions that reoccur with some frequency, ensuring that all solicitation requirements are met, yet the format is flexible enough to meet the needs of any specific submission.

Education

Bachelor?s degree (English, Communications, Journalism) and 2+ years relevant experience working for a professional services organization

Skills/Knowledge

-Minimum 2 years? proposal writing experience. Equivalent years of experience in Aerial Mapping industry will be considered.

-Ability to create original written content in response to clients? requirements.

-Ability to understand, write, and assimilate technical material in the Aerial

Mapping Industry.

-Ability to function effectively under strict production deadlines and time

constraints, schedule workload to meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.

-Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (particularly,InDesign and Acrobat), and/or other desktop publishing software.

-Ability to work in a team, maintain a positive attitude in all situations, and provide

accurate work forecasts and status to teammates.

-Extensive knowledge of and practice in proposal development processes in both commercial and governmental applications.

-Ability to independently define, schedule, and complete the proposal preparation process, including the ability to understand and analyze the details of an RFP.

-Outstanding communication, facilitation, and organizational skills; personality and leadership skills

-Proposal coordination skills, including document formatting and electronic/print production.

-Working knowledge of local, city, state, federal contracts.

-Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.

-Resourceful and creative in challenging situations; ability to solve problems and work independently.

-Flexible and proactive in taking on assignments and responsibilities, and ability
