Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Supervisor to coordinate and
supervise the overall function of the Coding staff.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily operations of the Coding staff and ensure
compliance with coding standards
Collaborate with other departments to improve coding quality,
documentation practices, and training
Oversee coding training and education, including ICD diagnosis,
procedure, and HCPCS coding
Required Qualifications
Associates degree in a health services discipline or equivalent
combination of education and experience preferred
Minimum 3 years of progressive coding or coding review experience
in a healthcare system or related field
One of the following certifications is required: CPC-A, COC, CIC,
CCS, RHIT, or RHIA
Preferred certifications include ICD10 certification from AHIMA or
AAPC
