Job Description Licensed Acupuncturist (Contract) Acupuncture Center of La Jolla – San Diego, CA (On-site) About Us The Acupuncture Center of La Jolla has served Southern California since 1989. We provide patient-centered care grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine and adapted for modern clinical practice. Our clinic is known for strong mentorship, ethical practice, and long-term patient relationships. We maintain close ties with local acupuncture training programs and actively support early-career practitioners in developing real-world clinical confidence. The Role We are seeking a California-licensed acupuncturist , including motivated new graduates , to join our clinical team as an independent contractor. This role is ideal for a practitioner who wants: Consistent hands-on clinical experience Mentorship in a real-world setting Exposure to a diverse patient population The opportunity to develop or apply a clinical specialty You will deliver high-quality care using acupuncture, herbal medicine, and related modalities while maintaining professional standards and contributing to a collaborative clinic culture. Key Responsibilities Perform patient intakes, assessments, and treatment planning Provide acupuncture, moxibustion, and herbal treatments Educate patients on treatment plans and lifestyle support Maintain accurate, compliant clinical records Participate in case discussions and clinical learning Uphold ethical and professional standards Required Qualifications Active California Acupuncture License (or pending with exam scheduled) Solid foundation in TCM theory and clinical techniques Strong interpersonal and communication skills Professional, reliable, and coachable Commitment to continued learning and skill development Special Interest Areas (Highly Desired) We are especially interested in practitioners with interest or training in: Oncology support Balance Method Facial Rejuvenation / Cosmetic Acupuncture Five Element (Depth of experience varies — strong interest and training are welcome.)
