Job Description Job Description Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Location: Wilmington, NC Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM Pay: $19-$21/hour (based on years of experience) Position Overview A growing practice in Wilmington, NC is seeking a dependable and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant to join their clinical team. While cardiology experience is a plus, candidates with any outpatient or specialty experience are encouraged to apply. This role includes a strong focus on vaccination and injection administration along with day-to-day clinical support responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Administer vaccines and injections following clinical guidelines Prepare patients for exams, EKGs, and minor procedures Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Assist providers during clinical procedures as needed Accurately update and maintain electronic medical records (EMR) Ensure proper medication and vaccine storage, handling, and documentation Stock and sanitize exam rooms Provide clear patient education and excellent bedside manner Qualifications National Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant required (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent) Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience Experience with vaccinations and injections required Cardiology experience preferred but not required Current BLS/CPR certification preferred Proficiency with EMR systems Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Stable weekday schedule with no weekends Supportive specialty practice environment Opportunity to gain cardiology experience and expand clinical skills For California Applicants: We will consider for employment all qualified Applicants, including those with criminal histories, in a manner consistent with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws, including the City of Los Angeles' Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO), Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers (ULAC), The San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO) , and the California Fair Chance Act (CFCA).
